Shyam Misra completed his Bachelors in Accounting Degree (B Acc) at the University of Durban Westville and thereafter served as a Trainee Accountant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC). In 2002 he joined Siza Water as the Financial Manager and played a pivotal role in refinancing the company as well as ensuring its financial stability. In 2008, he was promoted to be the Managing Director of Siza Water and headed the company and was instrumental in restructuring the company to have a completely South African management team. In 2019 he was appointed as the Group Managing Director of South African Water Works, that became the majority shareholders in Siza Water and Silulumanzi and oversees the operations of both water concessions, a post he currently holds”
